Stuff I want to blog about:
Foreign movies - particularly The Lives of Others, Twenty-Four Eyes, The Threepenny Opera, The Last Emperor, and The Last Metro. I am SO TEMPTED to buy Berlin Alexanderplatz. It's 940 minutes long though, if I didn't like it I would have wasted $100.
Other movies - The Hit, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Howl's Moving Castle, Avatar, LOTR, Kramer vs. Kramer, Gattaca, Dr. Zhivago, and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Movies I want to see - Jules and Jim, Army of Shadows, The Rules of the Game, The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, Clash of the Titans, Gone with the Wind, and The Shining.
Sports history (and history in general, as well as Zeitgeist) and whether or not anyone can achieve greatness in the same way again.
Music - composing a quartet (or not); every quartet ever composed, particularly Grieg, Schubert, Borodin 2, and Tchaikovsky; Schubert Lieder; Glazunov, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich violin concertos; Bartok concerto for orchestra, Stravinsky Symphony of Psalms; Beethoven 6 and 9; Richard Strauss Also Sprach Zarathustra; and others.
Books - The Catcher in the Rye, The Varieties of Religious Experience, The Undiscovered Self, Man's Search for Meaning, What to Listen for in Music, Siddhartha, and That Hideous Strength.
I'm sure I'll come up with more stuff as I go along, but these are the things I have on my mind now.
