Bach chorales

Today I played my violin. Not particularly well, or for a long time, but I actually touched my instrument. I had to leave to come babysit for the afternoon, so I read through the first page of Wieniawski 2 before deciding that I had too much respect for the piece to keep destroying it.

The only thing noteworthy was realizing that Bach chorales are the perfect practice tools. I can improve my viola playing (and learn how to play the cello, which I will bring home from my sister's tonight), translate the text, brush up on my theory analysis, work on hearing harmonies by recording multiple parts and playing them back, and since I have two versions I can practice reading all 5 clefs. (one is in treble / bass, and the other is bass, tenor, alto, soprano)

I thought I watched another movie today but according to my Youtube history I only watched all the trailers as I put in the links for yesterday's post, and some Starcraft games. I hope to finish The Two Towers tonight. I also need to buy health insurance. That's all the news for today. I finally wrote a short post.
