Shower Talk

God doesn't speak to me when I want to hear from Him. It is His prerogative whether or not He speaks to us. Even when He is silent we should have the comfort of knowing that He desires what is best for us. Listening for Him with rapt attention and focus is a reasonable demand that He makes on us. If we find silence from the world and ourselves, His whispers are plenty loud.

For those that die young, God calls them to be with Him for eternity, after a short life of suffering. To us it may seem unjust, but perhaps they are lucky and remain innocent. Everyone must die, so an early death is no worse than dying at the end of a long life. It may not be fair for one to have 8 years to decide to accept Christ as opposed to 80 years, but both technically have the same opportunity, in theory.
